Thanks to everyone who responded regarding my problems with the DVD. I recently bought my player and decided to buy a cheaper one in anticipation of technology improving by leaps and bounds by the end of 2002. By then recordable DVD's should be inexpensive enough where I can dump tape player... or at least attach it to a TV in my house that is not used very much.
