I just got off the phone after talking with one of the initiates for about an hour. Last year I had the same opportunity with another young man. I suppose that a few of my "pearls of wisdom" and interesting anecdotes were of some use. I guarantee you all, however, that the phone call was even more rewarding for me.
This is a great tradition that has been instituted. Any "old guy" who has a chance to participate should do so in the future.
Thanks so much for allowing me to continue my small contributions to the corps.
I'll never be able to adequately repay the Cavaliers . . .
