As a long time follower of the Cavaliers on the 4th of July parade circuit I can tell you that the Elmwood Park parade is their first parade of the day. It starts at 9:00 but I can tell you that it NEVER starts on time. The orginizers of the parade do the corp a favor and put them in one of the first groups so they can move as quickly as possible to the DesPlaines Parade. They are on "when they show up" there. They are usually on in the middle of the parade. I skip the Mount Prospect parade but you cannot miss the Evanston parade. It has been rated one of the best parades in the country. (Plus, the women watching is pretty darn good too, but current girlfriends need not worry. I am sure your boyfriends march in the inner ranks so not to be tempted) They are on in that parade late because it their last of the day.
