I totally agree with you. Another thing that bothers me is that a large number of corps feel that they have to have a jazz section in the show.
I was at the Clifton, NJ show this weekend and of the 7 corps, 5 had a jazz block. Carolina Crown, which has a roman mythology theme, all in a sudden break out into a jazz section in the middle of the show. It makes no sense.
