So the Cadets were rehearsing at my high school last night. So naturally I went up to see them to scout the comp a little bit, and yes maybe say the pledge with them. Well here is a little back ground from the school. The athletic director is a typical athletic director. If its not football, it can't use the stadium. I just thought to myself how uninformed most of these high school officals are when it comes to NON-football activities. Expecially one that played in the Olympics a few years back. Well after all of that aside, they had to rehearse on the band's practice field. aka dust bowl. It wasn't the normal beat down that I expect from watching the Cadets rehearse. They were actually cracking some jokes and such. I though I'd never see the day. But as for the corps itself. Looks fairly experienced. More older folks than younger. And I can gaurentee that they are looking forward to this weekend. They kept on making mention of it. The show is TOTALLY different from the Cavaliers, and the sound is pretty full at times. Their biggest moments are when they stand still (musically) and I definatly think that the drill is inferior to the Cavaliers. The basic run down, if the Cav's clean what they have and keep it fresh, untouchable.
