I'm with ya Pauly. We also wore the old uni's at the annual Christmas banquet (on Clybourn in the city)and in the basement of the VFW hall in Park Ridge. (I'm still deaf from Freeman blasting RCM in my right ear. MAN, it was loud down there.)

In regard to this idiot, "Everyone grab your corp jackets, turn them inside out, grab you buckles and....." oh that's right, the corp these days are kinder and gentler. Damn, I miss the days of corp fights...

Guys, refreash my memory in '76. The Muchacho's still fielded a corp (their last???) cause I remember them at American Legion Nationals and they were also in the back stands at DCI Finals in Philadelphia throwing all kinds of crap at us. I remember heading to the back of the field during Firebird and something solid hitting my horn. I looked down on the ground and someone threw their mouthpiece and hit the bell of my flugle. BIG DENT! It was a Bach 5c. Coulda used it. I saw a judge pick it up as we were marching off the field dodging all kinds of crap being thrown at us.

Buy the way IDIOT, in '76 and '77 DCI came down HARD on all drum corps and all members had to carry their certified birth certificates with them at all times. I remember someone from DCI walking by the corp sometime around DCI finals and looking to see if anyone looked too old. The Cavaliers (and many other drum corps) were clean of old guys. But, to remind everyone The Bridgemen were also tossed for overaged members in '76. They must have left Muchacho's and marched Bridgemen. Must be an east coast thing.

Ahhh, the good old days....
