Curt,

The office if you could call it that!
I think it was originally a cloak room when FERRARAS had banquets up there before it was THE HALL.
Nolan probably will correct me if I'm wrong.
My first time up I just stood there staring at the trophies lining the walls especially the Drum Trophy for VFW Nationals all those corps that proceeded us from the East were their,St Vinnies,Blessed Sac it was incredible.Dead center on the North Wall was the picture of the 1961 corps and I was mesmerized just standing there looking at that picture it was about 6:oo PM and guys were starting to show up and ignore me as I wandered from trophy to trophy reading contests from far away places like Stillwater and New Jersey, what a night.
As the evening wore on I drifted from the drum room to the horn pratice watching Sal do his routine, finally someone I think it was Dave Burns came up to me and asked if I was the guy that Opager had mentioned,Opager would arrive later and the rest was a blurr,I went home that night and told my parents I had joined THE CORPS.

SPLOOIE
Bill
