I don't know if it's in the history section of this website, but the address of the hall was 2507 N. Kedzie. Don't know why I remember the address. Also, when the hall burned down, we moved to 2511, I think.

I remember that b&w picture of the 1961 corps, the one you saw in the hall, Bill. It was taken in a park in Rockford, Illinois (after the parade and before the Cavaliers won the Rockford show, clinching the undefeated season).

I watched the photographer take that picture. In the newspaper picture I posted (12th link down) of the 3Ms marching in the Rockford parade, that was the parade just before the famous photo of the 1961 corps was taken.

Later someone would paint a color picture of the corps with some drummers in the front and center, kind of in a V formation (going back in perspective). Mrs. Markovich and my mother would argue about whether the first drummer was Mitch or me. Mitch and I just ignored them. I think we joked that it was Pacer! *LOL* I doubt the painting showed anybody specific, really. Unfortunately, that painting was one of the casualties of the famous fire in 1967.
