Historically the Cavaliers were soldiers of the King.... for a while they took over OXford.... and turned it into a kind of combination encampment/outdoor pub and hostelry...kind of like the Equipment truck area.... no really ... they are pretty well documented if you do a websearch of King Charles, 17th centrury england,ENgland, Cavaliers, English Poets, etc.....
