OK
Lets say someone new to drum corps
is interested in buying a shirt from the store and isn't interested in what goes on here, while shopping low and behold there appears a shirt gray in color with SPLOOIE printed in large letters with a criptic discription,do you think they might just click on the got a question button and ask?
Or they see DCI on TV and hear SPLOOIE yelled from the stands and come here with the same question,
everyone who uses the NET may not be interested in a lot of research. This is a time of instant answers, and I am not diminishing your point in any way I just think it is a question that ain't going to go away.
When I marched in the corps I really don't recall it being asked that often, but then you had to ask it looking someone in the face.Listen to recordings from the sixties and I think you will hear it on every recording. BTW the secret we kept in those years was all about initiations
but we also didn't have a T Shirt with SPLOOIE then,or any of the other trappings of todays Corps,
but we did have fans and we always had one another, that will never change.SPLOOIE
