Marge Schott doing the broadcast? Bizarre!!! Would she demand 600 seats in the stadium for DCI Finals? Pete Rose doing the broadcast? Would he bet on the Blue Devils or The Cadets?

I also have to comment on Cincinnati chili. I ate at Gold Star much more frequently than at Skyline, but their restaurants were more convenient. I wonder what kind of meat they used in the chili. I was always of the opinion that you had to have cheese on Cincinnati chili -- cheese Coneys rather than Coneys and three-ways rather than two-ways.

The strange culinary creation here in Springfield, Illinois, is the Horseshoe and its small version, the Ponyshoe. Make a sandwich on white bread with meat such as roast beef, hamburger, ham, grilled chicken, or roast turkey. Place French fies on top of the sandwich. Pour a seasoned cheese sauce over the sandwhich and fries. Cholesterol City!!! One of the restaurants in town is developing a lower fat version of the Horseshoe. I have eaten only one Horseshoe since I moved here.
