I can answer this as a big fan of the color guards of yesteryear, FMM (horn player) and someone who's best friends marched back then:

James Bond was the best... ever.
Lots of chicks loved them.
Who cares about the scores, they ROCKED!
Lots of chicks loved them.
Brubaker was/is a genius.
Lots of chicks loved them.
They took the show to Europe.
Lots of chicks loved them.
Comp guards of today use too many props! What’s up with the tarps?!
.... lastly, what is up with having WGI in freakin' Dayton OH every year! ARGH!
