In early 1973, the rifles had about 128 counts to get from one set to the next. In those days this was common, especially if you were having a bad year (see above.) Well, at any rate, we were in Whitewater, WI at an early show and we were out "wandering." Hartowicz gives me the high sign when he spots an unsuspecting adjudicator and we were off for the kill. Turns out to be Shirlee Whitcomb, and she like so many other judges that year, nailed our butts in marching at that show. It was still the "tick" system in those early days of DCI.Well, we showed all of them later on that season, we cut the palms out of our gloves so we could get more GE points.
