To all those driving to auditions next month.
Speaking as a dad (and not just a huge Cavaliers fan), wear those seatbelts.
I lost about 10 years off my life over the weekend when I received a phone call Sunday night from my daughter, Christie, saying she had been in an accident. She sounded fine, but it turned out she had lost control of our car on a gravel road. The car flipped over twice and landed in a 20-foot ditch. Thanks to a seatbelt and the airbag, she walked away with hardly a scratch. The car was totaled. And I mean TOTALED.
She's my soulmate when it comes to drum corps and especially the Cavaliers, whom we have enjoyed seeing together live several times.
Do your folks a favor, guys, and don't forget to buckle up next month.
