Acquiring a Used Set of Drums

Our drum ensemble out here in Seattle desperately needs a new set of drums. Unfortunately, funds are limited since two of the guys in our group are laid off Boeing employees.Is there a way of acquiring a used set of drums from drum corps or bands? I'm not asking for Cavalier drums, but any suggestions about acquiring second-hand drums cheap... or even for FREE, from either bands or drum corps.
