Paul. You remember in the parade we did with the velvet vikings (Addison, 1969) when Parker and Hackmeister walked over to us (giraffe and the gnome in blue fuzz hats) and gave us the hint we should go try out? I don't know about you, but It was a shock to me to even have eye contact with a veteran Cavalier. And on top of that they were wearing their worn Jackets with the NARD patch on stripe. And both had that cocky presense (as in "We're top draw and we know it").
It truely is one unique organization.
Walking up the stairs at 2511 N. Kedzie for the very first time was nerve wracking. All I could think was "This is where it's really at."
