That's a great story, thanks! Although I never had a Cavalier jacket (my mom said they looked too much like "gang" jackets), I'm tempted to buy one now. My very first!A friend of my parents, Helen, used to say that when the Cavaliers came to Rockford and marched in the parade, she said: "And here they come, so straight and tall and proud!"
Well, as the French March song, which the corps played in 1961 and 1962, went:
"...handsome Cavaliers marching by...."
Yep, I just may order my jacket, although I don't know where I'd ever wear it.
