I'm a senior in high school and have been a fan of the Cavaliers for some time now, but never thought I would be able to try, since my primary instrument is flute. My director, a former Cavalier, though says that I could do it if I tried for baritone. My friend, who used to play baritone, was going to teach me what he knew now during our marching season, and my director would teach me after marching season. I was just wondering if I stood a chance or if anything like this, someone switching from woodwind to brass, has happened before. I'm hoping to try out next year for the 2011 season.
