I got my Brass information/technique packet today, and saw that part of the audition is to play a technical solo, and a lyrical solo. I originally thought there would be a selection to pick from inside the packet, but that's not the case.
I need help finding some solos to play though. I don't own many trumpet books, and I don't really know what I want to play.
This is a better question for alumni mostly, for those that went through this audition process. What did you play during the audition? Any suggestion of things I could possibly play?
