Mattuse the flow studies in the book.....start with the first one, and tongue all the notes, playing the quarters deliberately. Keep doing each one, going down the page..but after you do one tongued, go back and slur it at the same tempo...keep doing that until you get to number 7, and do the same thing. After you get to where you can do the page all the way down to number 7, start over doing all the notes in half notes.
Start with this, and see what happens.
