Trombones in Drum Corps

I play Trombone in my marching band and I was wondering that if I wanted to try out for Drum Corps and I didn't know how to play a Marching Trombone would it hinder my chances. I was also wondering if you could tell me when your selling your marching Trombones. Thanks
