YOU SAID: Is there anything that must be memorized in the audition/trumpet packet......Flow studies, Clarke,Chorale????

I SAID: No, you don't have to memorize anything.

YOU SAID: Do we need to bring the Packet with us or will there be music provided.

I SAID: yes, bring your own music.

YOU SAID: Do we play all exerpts?

I SAID: Depends on who you play for...someone might ask for all of them....I would just have them all prepared.

YOU SAID: Are tempos provided or are they open to the players interpretation....?

I SAID: Again, depends on who you play for.

YOU SAID: Do we Audition with a group of auditionees or soley with the staff and the player.

I SAID: Again, depends on who you play for...I would guess you would be in a group at the first audition camp.

YOU SAID: What type of marching repetoire will we be required to perform?

I SAID: That depends on the visual staff and what they want to see, but I would guess you would do basic forward and backward marching, slides, and some angular things.

YOU SAID:Range isnt my forte as of right now....but i DO have an excellent tone....I can higher range notes in the exerpts but not necessarily with the same level of beauty..... should i play whats written or can i take it down an octave

I SAID: I would try to stay in the octave that is written on most everything, but if you HAVE to take something down an octave, do so...

YOU SAID: Some of the exerpts have splits.....do i play the upper split every time?

I SAID: Learn both splits..we will tell you when you get there which one to play.

YOU SAID: Have fun....

I SAID: I most certainly will
