Cavalier Alums Impress at 2011 Academy Awards

The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps would like to congratulate two very special alumni who impressed at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards: Addison Teague and Borris Powell.

Addison Teague, who marched 1988 and 1989, received his first Oscar nomination for Best Achievement in Sound Editing for his work with Gwendolyn Yates Whittle on the movie, TRON: Legacy. Teague's resume also includes sound department work on films, such as Avatar (2009); Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008); Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007); and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003).
