The Cavaliers are charter members of WGI, and the corps has had hundreds of members, staff and alumni take part in the annual winter pageantry championships through the years. Our very own Cavalier Winter Guard competed in WGI from 1978 through 1983, as well as 1985 and 1988, winning a total of five medals: one bronze in 1980, one silver in 1988 and three gold in 1981, 1982 and 1983.

2012 marks the 35th anniversary of Winter Guard International and the 30th anniversary of The Cavaliers' 1982 WGI Championship performance of "West Side Story!"

The Cavaliers will host an exhibitor booth at the WGI Percussion World Championships April 19-21 in Dayton, Ohio. Be sure to visit booth #61 to get the latest merchandise from Cavaliers Promotions, Inc. (CPI)!

Green Thunder Percussion (GTP), the Independent Open Class percussion ensemble presented by The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps, will have their prelims performance at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 20th at Wright State University's Nutter Center.

Before heading to WGI Percussion Championships, Green Thunder will hold an open house for their last local performance of the 2012 program, The Grid, at Batavia High School in Batavia, Ill, on April 15 from 3 to 6 pm.
