

Green Thunder Brings "The Grid" to Championships

Green Thunder Percussion (GTP), the Independent Open Class percussion ensemble presented by The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps, charges into the 2012 WGI Percussion World Championship for their prelims performance of The Grid" this Friday, April 20, at 2:00 PM Eastern.
After making a stop in Indianapolis for a rehearsal earlier this week, GTP is primed and ready to perform in front of a championship crowd. "The guys are in the final stages of bringing 'The Grid' to life," said director and arranger, Joe Roach. "I cannot say enough about the members' dedication and commitment both to the show and to each other."

Green Thunder performs in the second round of Independent Open Class (PIO) at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 20, at Wright State University's Nutter Center. Check out the full PIO schedule here. After the prelims performance on Friday, GTP will be holding an open rehearsal at Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
"We look to share 'The Grid' with as many people as possible at this years WGI Percussion World Championships," Roach added.
