Join The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps on Sunday, May 27, in Lisle, Ill., for the 2012 Family Day BBQ. This annual gathering (formerly the Pre-Season BBQ) of friends, fans, family and alumni is presented by the Cavalier Alumni Association.

"It's been great to see so many family members, fans and alumni kick-off the season at our annual BBQ," said Cavalier Alumni Association President Chris Hartowicz. "This event has grown each of the past eight years, and we expect to have another fun day celebrating the Green Machine on May 27!"

Enjoy a delicious BBQ-style dinner with members of The Cavaliers just before the 2012 season begins, and be the first to get a preview of the 2012 production 15 Minutes of Fame!

Advanced tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children (12 & under) and are available via The Cavaliers' Ticket Store. At the 2012 Family Day BBQ, walk-up tickets will be $15 for adults and $8 for children - so be sure to get your advanced tickets NOW!

Cavalier Alumni & Current Marching Members - Start brushing up on your bag tossing skills, because the gauntlet has been thrown down! (Or has it been tossed?) Alumni will have the chance to pair up with current marching members in the GREEN & WHITE Bags Tournament! The current member from the winning pair will receive a bus survival kit, and the alumnus will receive Cavalier prizes. But more importantly, HONOR is on the line. Are you up for the challenge?

Cavalier Promotions, Inc. (CPI) will be out showcasing The Cavaliers souvenirs, including new shirts and products for 2012. Included with your Family Day BBQ purchase is a raffle ticket for a chance to win great products and prizes! Tickets for the 2012 DCI Championships and Cavalier Home Shows will also be available for purchase. Attendees will also have the chance to learn more about donating to and volunteering with The Cavaliers.

Founded in 1948, The Cavaliers are one of the most successful drum and bugle corps in history, winning 20 national championships, including seven Drum Corps International world championships since 1992. Each summer, 150 male brass, percussion and color guard performers aged 16-22 present a marching music show considered among the most challenging and original in the world.

The group performs at more than 30 competitions across the US and for more than 100,000 fans. Along the way, the young men not only learn about music and performing, but have a life-changing experience based on excellence, teamwork and camaraderie.
