The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps is proud to present the 52nd Annual Pageant of Drums in Michigan City, Ind., on Saturday, June 30 at 7:00 PM. The Pageant of Drums is the second oldest continuous Drum Corps contest in America and returns to historic Ames Field for the corps' first home show of the 2012 season.

This long-standing American tradition will feature the Colt Cadets, Pioneer, Glassmen, Troopers, Blue Stars, Spirit of Atlanta, Bluecoats, Carolina Crown, Classic Cavaliers and The Cavaliers.

Set at the picturesque Ames Field just off Lake Michigan, the Pageant of Drums promises to once again feed the need of drum corps diehards and new fans alike! "We've got one of our strongest lineups ever," said co-Event Coordinator Craig Rasin. "The 2012 drum corps season is already developing into a summer to remember, and we expect to again be nothing short of impressed at Ames Field on Saturday night!"

Before the contest, The Cavaliers will participate in the 57th Annual Michigan City Summer Festival Parade, running along Franklin Street from 10th Street to Ames Field. Crowds are often four and five deep on the sidewalks along the parade route, so spectators should arrive early to get choice spots. The Summer Festival Parade starts promptly at 11:00 AM this Saturday, June 30.

The 2012 program, "15 Minutes of Fame," features "Don Juan" by Richard Strauss; "Dead Elvis" by Michael Daugherty; "Paparazzi" by Stefani Germanotta and Rob Fusari; "Don Giovanni" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; "Vesti la Giubba" by Ruggero Leoncavallo; "Out Here on My Own" by Michael Gore; and "In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg.
