Every Friday, The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps will be featuring a Fan of the Week for our Fan Fridays effort! Young, old, far and wide - our incredible fans are at the center why we do what we do! This week, let's meet Alexandra Doyle!

1. Please state your name, age and hometown (and Twitter handle, if you have one).
Alexandra Doyle - 19 - Houston, TX - @AlexLovesLemons
2. How long have you been a Fan of The Cavaliers?
I've been a fan since I knew what drum corps was, so probably eighth or ninth grade (about 5 years ago).
3. What is your favorite Cavalier program and why?
Honestly, last year's show absolutely tickled me. It was all the upside down stuff... I mean, where do you come up with these ideas? I was totally impressed and entertained. I had only seen a few years' worth of live shows, and I don't like to comment on the ones I haven't seen live because that's a huge part of the experience.
4. What music/show would you like to see The Cavaliers perform?
I would love to hear Firebird or maybe Rite of Spring coming from the Green Machine... I'm an orchestral clarinet player, so I love it when corps do music that I'm really familiar with. It adds a nice memory to the pieces that I already love.
5. Are you making it to a drum corps show this summer? If so, which one(s)?
Yes, I'll be at the Berry Center show in Houston and in San Antonio.
6. What do The Cavaliers mean to you?
To me, The Cavaliers have been a symbol of all-around technical excellence and the marching show style that I'm most familiar with, but always with interesting twists (like that upside down stuff! I am seriously still so excited about that.) I guess I'd summarize it by saying that The Cavaliers have a beautiful classic look and approach to drum corps but are continually innovating and making adjustments that keep them at the front of the curve.
Also, I love the Green Machine, of course!
Alexandra - Thanks for letting us get to know you just a little better during Fan Fridays!
