Backyard Brawl: Alumni Association's $2k Challenge

Cavalier Alumni Association's Board of Directors Issues $2,000 Alumni Challenge!

As of Friday, July 13, donors had pushed The Cavaliers in front of Phantom Regiment by $3,503 in the Backyard Brawl fundraising challenge.

We know this is only going to fire up Regiment's alumni and fan base to close that gap quickly. To help keep the Green Machine ahead of our friends from Rockford, the Cavalier Alumni Association's Board of Directors has issued a $2,000 matching challenge directly to Cavalier alumni!

Donate NOW

If the corps receives $2,000 in alumni donations between now and midnight on Thursday, July 19, the CAA's Board of Directors will double the impact with a $2,000 match -- that means $4,000 is on the line!

Make Your Donation to The Cavaliers TODAY!

"The members of your CAA Board have personally pledged to this matching gift as an example to our current members of our support and commitment to their success," said CAA president Chris Hartowicz. "The fact that we also get to hand Jolly Ranchers to the Phantom Regiment and speak Latin (Oui, senorita!) while we beat them is just an added bonus! We're confident that our alumni will join us by contributing HUGE sums of money -- $4,000 buys a whole bunch of exploding chckens, after all!"

Members of the CAA Board of Directors include Rob Craven (1999-2001), Mike Green (1986-1988), Chris Hartowicz (1969-1977; President), John Jacobson (1957-1960; Treasurer), Chris Lugo (2002-2005; Vice-President), Matt O'Brien (1981; Secretary), Fred Olin (1956-1958), Rob Weber (1985-1987) and Jordan Yi (2009-2011).

This matching offer is only good IF The Cavaliers raise at least $2,000 from alumni now through July 19!

The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Contributions to The Cavaliers are tax-deductible as allowed by the law.
