Douglas (Clay) Roesler

A resident of San Antonio, TX, Clay Roesler is a recent graduate of Oklahoma Christian University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in December of 2021. During his college career at Oklahoma Christian University, Clay performed in three university ensembles including the Oklahoma Christian University Symphonic Band, Chamber Orchestra and Steel Drum Ensemble. Furthermore, he had the pleasure of performing with the University of Central Oklahoma Percussion Studio and studying percussion privately under Bill Repavich.


In addition to his involvement with music, Clay holds a true passion for the marching arts as a past performer and teacher. As a performer, Clay was a contracted front ensemble member of Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps (2020-2021). As a teacher, Clay served on the front ensemble staff for Mustang High School during their 2021 marching season as a student teacher. Other teaching experiences include, serving as a Percussion Technician at Douglas MacArthur High School and Veterans Memorial High School and working as a freelance Private Percussion Lesson Instructor. Furthermore, Clay serves as a Substitute Teacher in North East Independent School District and Northside Independent School District where he hopes to start his first full-year of teaching as a Percussion Director or Assistant Band Director soon. This is Clay's first year on staff with The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps, serving on the admin team as a Tour Assistant.
