Geoff Thursby

Geoff Thursby began his Cavalier association as an 11-year-old member of Cavalier Cadets in 1974 playing soprano bugler.  An interest in piano and getting braces changes his aspirations to orchestra bells and he graduated to The Cavaliers in 1977 through 1981. Geoff was a member of the front ensemble for the 2008 CAC888 Anniversary Corps.  Geoff is the founder and presiding president of the Cavaliers Investment Club, and over the years has also been involved in the corps’ fitness programs during the winter camps. Geoff joined the CAPE Board of Directors in 2019 and is a member of the Finance Committee.

Geoff became a corporate finance manager, receiving his degree in Finance and his MBA from the University of Illinois. His career focuses on bringing order to and building stories from vast amounts of financial and KPI data. He has been in various financial and technical roles and strategic implementations, including business travels to over 35 countries and an ex-pat assignment to Germany.  He is currently a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager for Gamma Technologies.  

Geoff resides in Glenview, IL and his hobbies include music composition and cycling.
