Ben Lopez

Ben Lopez is a distinguished color guard educator and designer with a rich history in the field. Holding a B.S. in Education from Central Michigan University and a Master's in Instructional Technology from the University of Houston, Lopez's teaching philosophy centers on creating enriching experiences through a comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes excellence, teamwork, and individual responsibility.

Lopez's teaching career began as a Color Guard Designer for "Third Edition" Winter Guard in Montrose, MI. He then served as the Color Guard Director/Designer at Cypress Falls High School in Houston, TX.

From 2017 to the present, Lopez has been the Color Guard Designer at Bridgeland High School in Cypress, TX. Under his guidance, the program grew from 9 to 70 members and advanced from Novice to Scholastic Open Class within sixyears. His tenure has been marked by numerous accolades, including being a 2023 Texas Color Guard Circuit Scholastic Open Class State Finalist and multiple Winter Guard International achievements.

Lopez's own marching experience includes the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps,“Forte”Winter Guard, and Pride of Cincinnati.
